Walter, bobcat, works on his enriching dinner.Participants of the popular Feeding Tour will join our knowledgeable tour guide as they introduce nearly all the animal residents, tell their personal stories, and give information that will help you make choices that support captive animal welfare and protect native populations and habitats.

The Feeding Tour is intended for children ages five and up and is especially appropriate for teens and adults.  This is a walking tour that will cover about 1/2 mile and last about 90 to 105 minutes to close out our day.  Participants will meet and observe primates, parrots, wildcats, wild canines, and enjoy the opportunity to see the grazing animals and reptiles, too.

This “end of day” tour is not recommended for infants or toddlers due to time of day, length of tour, and sometimes graphic animal carcass (venison, beef, horse, poultry) feedings.  If you must bring youngsters, please know if they become disruptive you may be asked to leave the tour.

We reserve the right to limit the number of children registered for and allowed to attend the Feeding Tour for the comfort of the whole group and the animals.

Participants may leave the tour for their personal comfort or to tend to personal needs, or they may wait in a designated area if they opt out. However, no guests are permitted to explore the sanctuary grounds without a member of our staff after 3:00 p.m.  The sanctuary is “closed” to all visitors except those participating on the Feeding Tour.
