Tours may start at 11:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m., and last about 90 minutes. The best option for all first-time visitors of all ages!
The animals are most responsive to the familiar faces of those they know best, including our tour guides, so this casual walking tour is the best option for first-time visitors or anyone who has not been introduced to the animals and our mission.
Participants will enjoy up-close introductions to the animals, anecdotes about their personalities, likes and dislikes, and learn more about what situations led to their need of our help. You’ll enjoy the opportunity to ask questions and likely see more of our residents than you can see without our tour guide’s assistance.
Your guide will share enlightening information about the exotic pet trade and what makes a “sanctuary” different from a “zoo”. This guided tour lasts about 90 minutes, but participants can drop out at any time, or join along at any time. General Visitation is included and begins at 10:00 a.m. and will continue after this tour concludes. We recommend checking in ahead of the 11:00 a.m. tour time.
